A virus is keeping the world in suspense. Meanwhile, Cologne bassist Christoph Herder finds time to pause. To remember why he originally set out as a musician. The deep heartfelt desire to form my own band again with friends and my own material develops, the Superläuche are born!

The first groove ideas emerge on the sofa. When Christoph jams to the relevant blaxploitation films of the seventies. The soundtracks by Roy Ayers, Isaac Hayes and Curtis Mayfield offer him never-ending sources of inspiration. The best ideas find their way into Christoph's notebook, which is unpacked and worked through in the first jams with drummer Gerald Lieberum. Like three decades before - in one of Christoph's first bands - the basis with bass and drums is now firmly established! The groove as the core of the music!

But only with the virtuoso Lars Schurse on guitar does the trio become complete. In the rehearsal room, the three super lights work on the ideas together. They also develop their very own band sound, in which funk always remains the boss! They effortlessly explore different musical facets: straight and tight, compact and full of wit, virtuoso joy of playing and sonic surprises. But intricate arrangements and open jams are also on the program. The groove of the Superläuche and their ensemble playing always remain top priority!
By the way, the band name goes back to a word coined by Christoph's son.
